Job Title: 1 Robotic Welder Setup/ Operator

Summary

A robotic welder set-up & operator will utilize robotic welding equipment by applying welds per drawing specifications to product components. Must be able to work with welding standards and specifications, create various jigs, program and re-program numerous metal components made from various gauges of stainless steel to produce metal welded assembly parts. Must measure dimensions of production parts using calipers, micrometers, and templates to ensure conformance with quality standards.

Job Duties

  • Set up and operate equipment to manufacture the highest quality parts, while maintaining production standards and safety precautions
  • Perform all functions involved in operation of a robotic welder, including programming, touch point, operation corrections and preventative maintenance
  • Regularly inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure quality goals, and for defective welds according to work instructions and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed • Read drawings and prints to determine specifications and accuracy; then complete required functions
  • Program, re-program and/or reteach the robotic equipment as needed
  • Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency
  • Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control
  • Inspect quality of prepared raw materials before welding into each product. Report any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Quality Control Specialist
  • Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ability to interpret documents and drawings
  • Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Must be organized and pay close attention to detail to optimize quality processes and increase efficiency
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
  • Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours
  • Must be able to interpret welding symbols per AWS

Education or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required); College Degree preferred
  • United States Work Authorization (Required)
  • Vocational or Technical Certification or Associates Degree in Robotics Technology (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years working knowledge/experience with Robotics (Required
